What is a cover letter ?
A cover letter is a (typically) one-page document that explains to the hiring manager why you are an ideal candidate for the job. It goes beyond your resume to explain in detail how you could add value to the company.

Which job you're applying for (include the job title in your opening paragraph)

1. Employers want an easy-to-read resume.
2. Employers also want to be able to easily scan a resume.
3. Employers are looking for resumes of qualified candidates — so put accomplishments and relevant experience front-and-center.
4. Employers want a coherent, easy-to-follow story…not your life history.
5. Employers want a properly formatted resume.
6.Do not include salary requirements unless they ask. I still would be very careful about including these requirements. Remember negotiation.
